Dragon2016March Posted May 19, 2016 Share Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) I would like to see "The Institute" reorganized so the 'director' can call a meeting of the department heads. The next part is to set new rules for any interactions between the institute and the peoples of the commonwealth to be non-violent with the exception of raiders, supermutants, and ghouls. After becoming the "Director" a way to bring Brian Virgil back into 'The Institute' and make him the new department head for bioscience. This would allow him to create a 'cure' for all of the "FEV" strains created in the past. After becoming 'Director' and the synth escape problem is resolved then if Ayo is removed from The Institute the person really responsible for the synth escapes, "Liam Benet", should be put on restricted access to computers and on a disciplinary room restriction under watch by a courser. If interactions between the institute and the commonwealth population were more 'helpful' to the various settlements then they could begin to improve relations and get more things done to help more people. I hope to get some support for this request because I am not capable of making any mods because of my lack of modding skills. I know this is a major mod to totally redesign the entire institute and will be a very tough thing to accomplish. After logging over 500 hours playing this game I can see that "The Institute" can be a force for "GOOD" rather than keep the bad reputation that has personified their existence through times past. A new direction and new design to show the world how the needs of all can be met. AtmaDarkwolf Posted May 24, 2016 Share Posted May 24, 2016 yea, the whole 'idea' that was 'fed' to you as you advanced in the institute made ME decide that it was the most logical, wise, and beneficial choice for the entire commonwealth. In the end, the whole 'the status quo must stand' and the 'we REFUSE to see any other logic but what was told us centuries ago' is so unscientific. Truth is, you should (as director, AND someone whos 'lived' outside) have some ability to give insight and direction to the institute. I mean, if they accepted that synths COULD get true 'souls' (sentience) and that the commonwealth needs help, why NOT free 'awakened' synths out into the commonwealth to do some good. I mean the ONE bad example of a 'synth gone rouge' was just silly. it was ONE example, and if one read all his notes (the 'rouge' synth i mean) you could see that he truly DID have self awareness and was making moral choices (But maybe the wrong ones?) and many of those choices were really no choices at all(And it was, at least somewhat, reflected in his notes) Also, if the institute stood up and decided to help out, not only could the boot the bos out of town without much effort, they could prob work with the railroad(Although thats another issue... actually I think ALL of the factions are pretty 'shallow' and so unlike previous FO games where there was no real black or white, but ways to make everything mesh however one worked at it) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
