billyro
Hi. Recently, playing Fallout: New Vegas has been hell when it came to CTDs. I had no idea why. Then, something in my brain clicked when my brother said "Oh my god, the friggin' internet keeps stuffing up!" and I replied "I know, I can't play Fallout when it happens!" and after that, I was like ho ho ho... So, I opened steam up and went to 'file' then went into offline mode. Started up the game and played, and played... and played. Not crashing. Isn't that strange? I knew something outside the game was stuffing everything up, considering how the game runs before it actually crashed. Graphics Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240Aspect Ratio: 16:9 WidescreenResolution: 1280x720 [Letterbox]Antialiasing: 4 SamplesAnisotropic Filtering: 8 SamplesMode: Vertical SyncScreen Effects: HDR ...so it wasn't something that was caused by overloading the system of whatever, because it loads over 40 fps constantly with these settings. SOMETHING was causing this, something... evil.So after I turned it onto offline mode, the frequent (every 15 mins or so) crashes ceased! Possible crash solver revealed. :D
Deleted2888495User
Hmm... I have to try this. Anyway my crashes was less frequents when i begin to use fnv4gb as i got a 64 bit O.S. But i think is because there is less use of hardisk as the game can fit more on memory. My crashes are 90% on loading the outside environment when i come from a close structure (tents, valts, sewers...)
