EmissaryOfWind
I am trying to make lights (static Blight shroom, among others) and I can't for the life of me figure out what determines the light output of the objects. The first thing I looked at was EffectShader properties in the nifs, but it only seemed to make the glowy parts glow brighter, not actually emit more light. In the CK, statics don't have a property for light emission, and lights don't have a mesh. Halp
usaf9211
I have also been curious about this. The static objects that light up, such as the beacons on top of the corvega smokestack don't seem to have any light option or link.

usaf9211
Kata just knows wtf is up edit: what about editing the light color of sparks? For spark emitters it looks like only the model is changeable. Edited May 21, 2016 by usaf9211

I think you'd need to edit the .nif itself for that. If I'm understanding what you're asking.

Sorry if this sounds stupid but how would changing the model make the color different?
KataPUMB
Look allways in the BSLighntingshaderproperties the meshes also could have emissive colors it's usually for special effects such as lasers magic or lights http://i.imgur.com/ncmh3sP.png Nevertheless it will change only the mesh but not the emitter of the light, that you gotta use the CK Edited May 22, 2016 by KataPUMB

Sorry if this sounds stupid but how would changing the model make the color different? See what Kata posted above and that'll get you started. Sometimes those special effects are linked within the .nif itself or are part of the texture while the actual glow or "light" coming from it is added afterward and editable in the CK.
