Creating a light

I am trying to make lights (static Blight shroom, among others) and I can't for the life of me figure out what determines the light output of the objects. The first thing I looked at was EffectShader properties in the nifs, but it only seemed to make the glowy parts glow brighter, not actually emit more light. In the CK, statics don't have a property for light emission, and lights don't have a mesh. Halp

Kata just knows wtf is up

edit: what about editing the light color of sparks? For spark emitters it looks like only the model is changeable.

I think you'd need to edit the .nif itself for that. If I'm understanding what you're asking.

But how to actually change the color? Sorry if this sounds stupid but how would changing the model make the color different?

Look allways in the BSLighntingshaderproperties the meshes also could have emissive colors it's usually for special effects such as lasers magic or lights

Nevertheless it will change only the mesh but not the emitter of the light, that you gotta use the CK

See what Kata posted above and that'll get you started. Sometimes those special effects are linked within the .nif itself or are part of the texture while the actual glow or "light" coming from it is added afterward and editable in the CK.
