New Vegas lags when I start it.

So recently, when i start my game, it lags like it's trying to load a LOT of information, but when i went to load the same save file, it works fine and is smooth. But recently, when i load it, it still lags, and I'm in the same area, and it didn't lag before and I didn't add or change anything. I noticed, though, the lagged kicked in when i used a console command (and I've used console commands several times before). does anyone know what the issue is or how to fix it??? I've tried turning off some mods that either I don't use, or that MIGHT have a small confliction with another mod, but nothing works Edited by Kry11ic

I suppose it depends on what console command you gave, if you added a lot of stuff to your inventory that could explain it. You have to remember though that the further you get in the game the larger the save games get so it will take longer to load. As well since the 1.4 patch many mods have been having problems but if you're not crashing then you're doing alright compared to the many others out there! Another thing to remember is the more mods you use the longer your load times. Your disk drive might need a de-frag and optimization too.

the thing is i was playing it and it was fine, and i saved it, went to go do something, and when i got back on it lagged and now it wont stop lagging. but I started a new game, and that's working fine as well as my other save file, it's only this one, which i play the most

One of the indicators of a corrupted save is the size of the file, larger than those around it. That save may be corrupted and it could corrupt subsequent saves so I would delete it or at least move it somewhere else.
