More Armor mods like this

I really love some of the armor mods on this site for Oblivion, however, there have been very few mods like the ones that I really like lately :(

I really miss people makes armor sets and mods like these:

Armageddon by Lancilotto

Dread Knight Armor and Weapons by jojjo

and others like these.

What happened to all the people that made armor mods like these? I'd really like to see some new armor mods like the ones shown above :)

Thanks!

Hmm, sadly I can't help with the armour, but I guess I have two templar shields around. I was planning to use them as posing props in Fallout. I could convert them to Oblivion if there's any interest in that kinda thing.

As for the weapons, you'll find a blade that looks disturbingly like that one on a different hilt in my recent Arming Swords mod. It's the Oakeshott Type XVIIId one. Plus, of course, some type X, XI, XII, XIII, and XIV which also go well on a knight crusader type character, seein' as they were actually used in the Crusades :P

But to answer the question, I don't think making realistic armour and weapons actually went anywhere. It just always was one of many many styles, and getting exactly the style you want has always been a hit and miss thing, and spread across all the years since Oblivion launched.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23487 (only female)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901 (comes with a weapon too, though I've never used this mod)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15147 (my favourite armour as a vampire)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32304 (also only for females)

The first is a heavy set. It is BY FAR my favourite armour for warriors. The second is based off of warhammer, but I've never played that game or used that mod so I don't know much about it (think I might try it now, actually). The last two are light armors. They aren't exactly "cover you in metal from head to toe" armours but they look cool as heck.

I think this should go into Mod Request, but it's nevermind. Anyways, I completly agree with you. But don't go deeper into this, because it'll turn out again as a skimpy - non-skimpy battle.

Yeah, this has been a pet peeve of mine because it seems that nobody seems to want to make any heavy type armors for Oblivion any longer. I have so many armors that I'd love to see ported into Oblivion, yet I am not a modeler or anything, so I wouldn't be able to do it :(
