Marcus Wolfe
............yeah........not encouraging that you do this, but if you did, which one would you?I'd bring in a minigun, which is a modern Gattling gun, because if I bring in a gun to kill people, I wanna clear out the whole room fast, plus, I'm not known for being subtle. Jynxi
Bazooka. I wanna clear out a room with one shot, so I can go on to the next in a matter of seconds.
ninja_lord666
Well, I would bring an air-strike to school and blow the whole thing up! However, that's not on the list...nor is it a gun...Out of the guns you do have on the list, flamethrower. There's just something about a flamethrower that makes it so fun and sadistic... IamBatosai
Ditto. Flamethrower would be cool. Though I would never do that.
Darkh Templar
I just have to say that using a SAM would be utterly useless. You do know that SAM stands for Surface-to-Air-Missile?
Marcus Wolfe
Yes, I know that. I just put it on for fun.
Abramul
If you're going to flip out and kill people, the weapon of choice should be obvious: A frisbee.
Peregrine
Ok, thinking of the legal issues here for a second: I really doubt you want to be talking openly about this. While the internet may make you relatively anonymous, there are ways of connecting the real-life person to their internet history. I would be very careful about what you say on subjects like this, in the age of zero-tolerance policies there are a lot of people who don't see a difference between a joke and a serious threat. So... I will answer in the context of "if your school was taken over by terrorists, and it was up to you, star of the action movie, to save everyone": ............yeah........not encouraging that you do this, but if you did, which one would you?I'd bring in a minigun, which is a modern Gattling gun, because if I bring in a gun to kill people, I wanna clear out the whole room fast, plus, I'm not known for being subtle. You do realize that even if you can carry the damn thing (in movies, there's a cable running offscreen to multiple car batteries), the recoil will have you lying on your back the moment you pull the trigger, right? Miniguns are designed for vehicle mounting, the idea of carrying one by hand is stupid beyond belief. The same goes for flamethrowers/RPGs/etc, video games are not reality. As for my weapon of choice, two options depending on exact layout: M-14-style battle rifle. Full rifle caliber since as a single person against multiple armed opponents stopping power will be critical. The full-auto switch is of course mandatory, giving the option for covering fire without the need to sacrifice mobility for machine gun. With a mid-power scope, this gives pretty good effective range to pick off targets at range and even up the odds a bit. or Saiga 12-gauge shotgun. If it's all indoor combat, accept no subsitutes. Excellent stopping power, and in room-to-room fighting, the lack of effective range won't be an issue. Semi-auto for obvious reasons, box magazines over traditional-style for faster reloading. Grenade launchers on both options would be nice, but we can probably assume the terrorists will have taken hostages. As an action movie hero, it's my job to save all of them, especially my obvious love interest (held personally by their leader). "Blow things up first, ask questions later" may be very nice for evening the odds, but the collateral damage is too high.
Darkh Templar
You forgot the vehicle mounted SAM system.
Vagrant0
The same goes for flamethrowers/RPGs/etc, video games are not reality.I beg to differ, while there is some significant differences between videogames and reality, RPGs are something which can be carried around, and used quickly. This is one of the things that makes the weapon as dangerous as it is in some parts of the world. Even a 12 year old can operate a RPG of some designs. However, no matter the context, this topic is just plain stupid. Even if the action movie situation were what we were aiming for, you forget that atleast 80% of you would be pissing yourself in the corner sucking your thumb in the fetal position the moment shots were fired and the realization "we're going to die" popped into your head. Terrorists don't need more than a few hostages, anyone they see as being anything more than a mindless, subserviant sheep is dead before they even stand. Even if you were psychic and knew it was going to happen far enough ahead of time to prepare a weapon, in all liklihood, you wouldn't live long enough to make use of it, and by providing it, you may even end up helping the terrorists. Your only real option would be to try and defuse the situation before it becomes possible, or just keeping your head down, and try to make it through alive with sanity intact.
