LHammonds Posted August 3, 2011 Share Posted August 3, 2011 I would imagine it would be best to stick with box shapes as much as possible. As soon as you start adding curves, the poly count will start to go up quite a bit the smoother you try to make it. Here a quick assembly of lights and currently weighs in with 88 vertices. Adding a bit more geometry to match the image shape and it now has 124 vertices: You can get away with much less geometry to achieve the results of having security lights but it all depends on how "exact" you want to match the source image.
