kvnchrist
After several years of doing the political correct thing, and upsetting thousands of young kids and the elderly. the TSA is finally going to implement some of the same security measures that the Israeli's have been using for years. http://www.theblogmocracy.com/2011/08/02/tsa-to-get-all-israeli-style-at-the-airport/ I'm not going to get into the cultural thing. No one wins there, but I'd like to ask why the heck is America so disposed to go their own way and not look around to other countries, to see what they are doing, even when it is obvious that their system is working more efficiently. Is it our stubbornness or arrogance in automatically ignoring other country's ideas, or have we gotten so use to calling ourselves the leaders of the free world, when we are so far behind the world in so many things. Just look at our schools to see an example of that. Just think of the cost for all these machines that we've come up with, to scan passengers at the airports and with the uproar against them, they will most likely never be used. These things cost millions and now, they are book ends. While America teeters on the edge of a debt ceiling for well over a month, these people who just wasted these funds are still in charge. Maybe we should change our attitudes and we might stop being the laughing stock of the world.
Flintlockecole
It isn't just The US in North America but all of North America is too arrogant to look out for ideas elsewhere. Perfect example would be public transit where I live is outdated and generally is a complete drain to how inefficient it actually is.
Kuraikiba
While not the only example, the US is the most extreme. According to economic theory (Elliot wave theory, stock predictions, trends, debt clock figures), a depression starts with a recession, a small recovery, and a great crash. Happened in 1929, and according to others, my estimation of failure of our economy in 2014-2015 was hopelessly optimistic. Now, regardless of action, there is a great chance the vast majority of the global economic system will face a crisis beyond measure, a culmination of a supercycle or possibly a Grand Supercycle of the Elliot Wave Theory hitting the most destructive point, the end of the wave. Wave 5. The essential equivalent of economic apocalypse is possible even. Regardless of action, we are looking at over 40 years of very poor choices reaching critical mass and causing the most severe depression of history. We project ourselves with conceited superiority, yet we fail to do things right. When we fall, it's because we don't want to choose to do things the right way, and want what we believe we are entitled to without the effort put forth to obtain it. Edit: Did I mention the US Debt is not only having to be managed by supercomputer due to growth rate, but the total amount is 98% of the US GDP? By 2015, we couldn't pay off the interest.
