somerandomsheepthathops
I was wondering, with the perk system being the way it is in this game, is it even possible to make mods that add dozens of new perks like in Fallout 3 & Vegas? Or will old perks have to be added onto/overwritten in order to add new perks?
Radioactivelad
Having to overwrite existing perks is how it currently has to work, But I don't see why we couldn't completely side-step The Chart. I know little about scripting, so don't expect anything from me, but a theoretical mod that simply opens up a completely seperate NV/3-esque perk selection screen doesn't seem all that difficult. Beyond that we'll have to hold out that a DLC or Patch adds in Page functionality for the chart. Edited May 23, 2016 by Radioactivelad
Mordorkin
I have seen at least one mod that lets you "craft" perks (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8802/?). It even gives the perks prerequisites, but it does not interact with perk points in any way (will probably need some form of scripting for that). I think you can also award perks through quests. The perk chart is a bit of a weird choice on Bethesda's part. Sometimes it seems like they forget that one of the big draws for their games is that people want to be able to mod them haha
