Razor444
With OBGE think it's easy enough to put the files in specific folders, but how do I install mods with OBSE.No, I did install the mod "OBGE motion blur" with OBGE put the files, but then I have to do with OBSE? bben46
Have a little patience. Don't expect instant answers when you post. Not everyone is on line all of the time and it may take several hours for someone who understands your problem to see it. My guess is most people - including me don't understand exactly what it is you are asking. a little more detail may help. First, you do NOT use OBSE to install anything. OBSE is installed and that is it. OBSE is not a mod and does not install like a mod. You must read the instructions to install it or you WILL get it wrong. Many mods REQUIRE OBSE to be installed first in order to work. And the game MUST be started using OBSE and not the Oblivion launcher for OBSE to be there. Trying to run a mod that requires OBSE when OBSE ids not installed and started properly WILL cause the game to crash. Guaranteed. OBGE is an OBSE plugin that adds to the functionality of OBSE - OBSE to be there when it is installed. Again READ the documentation first, it will save you a lot of time.. Now, In my Moderator voice:Bumping your own threads is against the rules - you did read the rules didn't you?Just a warning this time.Bben46, Moderator
Razor444
Sorry but I posted a lot of problems here, but I never got an answer and luckily I was able to be alone. And 'nervousness, sorry again. But I do this "mod" I have all the costs and the morning is that we fight. However, the readme to run the "OBGE" I did well, but these shaders do not work. Now put Guide Installing. These files are part of the OBGE. 2) From "Core" Folder (is Zip) extract: Folder:- OBSE- Textures- Shaders And i do it. 3) From OBGE "Standalone" (is Zip) extract all Files in Data Folder. And do it. 4). Start Oblivion usning obse_loader.exe 5) After Menu appears, CLOSE Oblivion. 6) Go to Data\Shader\Shaderlist.txt 7) Write all Shaders you wana play with in that Textfile. Use the Shaders that are in the same directory (example, write in Godrays.fx - without ;)) you can use as many shaders as you want 8) Go in \Data Directory and delete Oblivion Graphics Extender Support.esp 9) Start obse_loader.exe and enjoy new Shaders I did everything, everything, but when I load the game, there is no change. I have Windows 7 32-bit, I have the default destination folder in oblivion.
bben46
The default install location is 'protected' by Windows UAC and will try to block changes to the original program. It sees any change, such as mods as something to be prevented. Best solution - uninstall & reinstall in a different unprotected location. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the WIKI section of the Nexushttp://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Oblivion_reinstall_procedure It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice. HeyYou
You can tell the installer (uninstaller....) NOT to remove save game files, just make sure that the oblivion.ini in My Games\Oblivion gets deleted. Also, the uninstaller will only remove files that oblivion setup put in there, so, all mod files will be left behind, unless you physically delete them. You could copy your current oblivion\data directory to some temp location, reinstall the game OUTSIDE of program files folder, and then copy your data folder into the new location.
