kevinshively Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 ok my mod sun valley's esp is over 10MB and a admin said to clean it and that i might have hit the compile all button. how do i clean a mod and is there a program to help me or something?
Kendo 2 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 You can use FOMM to remove bad or duplicated refs. Running the esm through FO3Edit wouldn't hurt either. If you use the Compile All button you're going compile every script in the game into your esm, even the ones you don't use. Are you sure you want to do that?

Kendo 2 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 You want some real advice? Contact gamefever here at nexus. He p'owns FO3Edit. He knows more about that program than I ever will. He's a freak'n guru.
Xepha537 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Can you not use the Remove "Identical to Master" Records function in FO3Edit? Load up just your mod in FO3Edit and right click its entry in the list on the right hand side - I think this is what you need. Be sure to make a copy/backup of your mod before hand though.

cordsnwires Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 When you first open edit you will see the plugin selection window... right click on the list and hit "select none", then check off just your plugin (any masters will load automatically). Detailed instructions for the cleaning process can be found in this document:http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8629
Draco856 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Open FONV Edit or FO3 Edit and load your plugin, right click anywhere in the plugin list once everything has loaded and select "Apply filter" remove the check marks from everything except "Conflict Status inherited by parent" then click OK. This will begin the process of filtering all the mods and showing you the conflicts, now if the mod has recompiled scripts they will can be shown as green and won't be removed when using the function "Remove identical to master records", if this is the case you'll have to manually remove the scripts that aren't a part of your mod by simply deleting the records from your file.
arcane20 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Ohh god why is that button even in the geck. What a useless button. But yes do exactly what draco said.
