dwellufool
I say, let the Argonians and high elves merge into one race. I guess that'd make our dark elves. Why do orcs seem so "human" in the series? Can you guys think of one badass orc that stood out? I want eyes bursting, club on shield, towering, and with a minimal knowledge of "language." It kills my buzz to see orcs speak as articulately as everyone else, unless I'm missing something. You have to realize, The Elder Scrolls is very different in very many ways. They simply took the names, even created some for themselves, and looks of pre-existing races throughout the fantasy world and made them their own. Copying other races by how they are publicly interpreted would really bring the series down. I think my favorite thing brought to the table from the Elder Scrolls is different look on popular races, such as Orcs or Elves. LeopoldCrank
The expansion for Skyrim will be Akavir I'm calling it now. No way. If they do an off-continent expansion, it'll be Atmora, as it is the only one which would require you to be in Skyrim to have any chance of reaching, and that is highly unlikely as that particular continent has seen no contact from Tamriel since the late Merethic era, or somewhere very in the the first age. Akavir is east, so the only game where such an expansion would make sense would be Morrowind.

Akavir may be to the east but considering in lore Akaviri raiders and pirates have attacked the coast of Skyrim for hundreds of years taking a ship around Morrowind is more than common place in Elder Scrolls already. Not to mention the whole dragon thing really ties in with Akavir and especially the Ka Po' Tun. Since in Skyrim the Empire is in decline what better time for a threat from Akavir and the Tsaesci to rise once again.
Deleted1848331User
It probably wouldn't be all of Akavir... but then again, we don't know how big Akavir is, for all we know it's Shivering Isles size, maybe a bit bigger.
SansSword
Man, you guys are going to love my fanfic when I finish it....it ties into exactly this speculation we are having, mainly on Akavir When I look through the complete chronology of Nirn-ian history and see all that stuff about Black Marsh and the floating city of Umbriel, well, sure sounds like fertile story-telling ground to me--as I've said before I would be ok with TES 6 being Black Marsh, though I would favor Akavir being the primary antagonist behind the story Only problem with the Umbriel theory is that the events regarding Umbriel happen before the Skyrim events...so...unless Bethesda wants to start going backwards in time... An unstable situation between Valenwood and Elsweyr, being historical enemies, I could see being the next story, taking both of those smaller provinces into a single game, aka Daggerfall (Highrock and Hammerfell) I could also see a threat arising from Pyandonea to the south--that crazy battlemage or whatnot who rules down there instigating some mischief in Summerset Isles You just know they have to tackle Akavir at some point; they just have to; it is too good an opportunity--large, hostile, sworn enemies of Tamriel, multiple races

billyro
I don't think that the Elder Scrolls will move to Akavir until all the regions in Tamriel are done. After all continents are done, there might probably be a giant game that has the whole of Tamriel. Who knows? Games are developing fast.
iansutton91
What if TES VI is actually set during the conquest of Morrowind? Does the timeline in these games always have to be linear?
