zany chimp
Is there a way to delete all mod files (meshes, textures, etc.) that aren't currently associated with currently active mods, other than manually hunting down each file? I still have plenty of space on my computer, but I'm trying to keep things organized. Any input will be much appreciated.
micalov
as long as its not a replacer mod and uses an ESP try tes4files. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8489
Balakirev
You could install mods using Wrye Bash's BAIN system. This tracks all the mod parts, and when you uninstall, removes everything specific to a given mod. Can't say I've ever used it, though others swear by it. SavageArtistry
My method is to keep a backup of each file I download, then if I need to uninstall something I can just check that file to see what folders/meshes/textures to delete. The reason I like to do it manually is because sometimes mods overwrite parts of other mods (texture replacers are a good example of this) and if you use a program to remove mods (like Oblivion Mod Manager) you may end up deleting something you would like to keep. zany chimp
Thanks for the replies... I'll try tes4files... but I'd like to figure out how to use wrye bash, as it sounds like a good tool... but I honestly don't know what it does exactly, and I'm afraid i'm going to break something. LordChenzi
if i were you i would keep a backup of both the original and the mod files that way if you do make an eventual screw-up you can undo it by deleting everything in Oblivion/data and then put the originals back. my example of how i keep all my oblivion things i will show you a folder listeep All Things Alphabetized/O's/Oblivion Extras/ now after that you would search in either of these folders Oblivion Patches, Oblivion Mods, or Oblivion Backup Data thats how i do it =D Note: since im not you just organize it to the best of your comfort and knowledge.
