CrimsonGuardian
Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a problem out there. My game was working fine until recently. I installed Natural Environments, and for some reason, whenever I exit, Oblivion would almost always crash, it didn't bother me all that much because it wasn't that much of an issue. But 2 days ago, it got worse. I was doing Ahdarji's heirloom and things took a turn for the worst. I saved and whenever I tried to load my save IN-GAME, Oblivion would crash. The save files aren't corrupted, I can load them whenever I boot Oblivion but whenever I'm in the game and try to load them, it crashes. Any advice? Here is my list of mods and load order. Candex
I can't answer why you get those crashes. I assume by your list of mods that you have a somewhat decent machine there. I don't, I mean I love my laptop but running Oblivion was some sort of a miracle. And back then I just couldn't exit oblivion without CTD. Until I got... Fast Exit ...which also wiped out 90%of my in game crashes. I suggest you this because you say you recently installed Natural Environments. A lot of graphic mods can slow down your game. Hope it helps
CrimsonGuardian
I'll try that. Don't think it'll fix the entirety of my problem but half of it will likely be gone. My main problem is that I can save just fine and load when I'm outside the game but whenever I'm in the game, loading saves causes the game to crash. CrimsonGuardian
Update: Works like a charm, I can quit with no crash but I still can't load my saves when I'm in game.
HeyYou
That is a game bug. I can sometimes reload a save in-game when I am still alive, no problems if I am dead. The more mods you have, the less likelihood of being able to re-load while still living. If you exit to the main menu, you might have more success. It also started doing this recently, way after I had all my mods installed.

I suspect it is some manner of hardware/software interaction, but, don't have the knowledge to troubleshoot it further than that. Basically, things happen differently when you re-load a save after you die........ there is some bit of info in there, that seems to stick in oblivions craw, if you are still alive, and more often than not, will cause the game to crash. Balakirev
Update: Works like a charm, I can quit with no crash but I still can't load my saves when I'm in game. If it gives you any consolation, I don't remember a time when I could load saved games from within the game. Just too many mods: somewhere over 250, if you count my merged groups. This isn't something you're going to be able to change, unfortunately, unless you use fewer mods. And that's...unthinkable. ;)

And that's...unthinkable. ;)Thing is, I used to play just fine with as many mods until I went into Castle Leyawiin. For some reason there, I tried saving and reloading and it started crashing whenever I would do that in-game.
