CuinManari Posted August 13, 2011 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Well, this is quite literally my first mod in the GECK - as such, I am very new to the system, and am very open to learning more. However, I would like to know the cause of my issue. The following video is a video of the weapon model I'm having issues with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtEjZ-BgC30 As you can see, I imported it and programmed it. I imported it as a .nif, and textured it via photoshop. I developed the normal map and the diffuse on my own, but as you can see, I am having issues with the lighting. I fixed the UV line issue already - that was some easy work in photoshop. However, the lighting issues you see persists. How might I fix this issue? The tutorial I was using for importing is the following: http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Basic_Guide:_From_Modeling_Program_to_the_GECK As I stated before, this is my first Fallout New Vegas Mod, let alone my first mod using a Bethesda Engine - it could comically be that I made simplest mistake. Akallabeth Posted August 13, 2011 Share Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) Same as above my knowledge is limited on making models but it seems to be something wrong with the the shine, I am not sure on the term for it I think this modified by the alpha channel on the normal map. It may just be the simple fact that it's a very low poly model at the moment - an easy thing to fix. In any case, I'll take a look at both of these things, as well as a few other things I think it might be. I wanted to increase the unwrap map anyways xD Thanks - I'll post my findings tonight.
