Mothership Zeta: Can't see Sally!

When doing the 'Not of This World' quest from the Mothership Zeta addon, there is something wrong for me. Everything is fine up to the point where I need to get Sally out of her cell. When I get there, I can't see her, nor is there any speaking at all. I am simply told to free her from her cell, so I do what is necessary. After I have overloaded the core, nothing happens and Somah is just standing there.

 

Please - is there anything anyone know of to help me fix this problem? (I would preferably not want to reinstall the game. ;P)

sally being missing

 

is a known issue with some mods

Listed down in the Bugs section there is a possible fix for your problem.

 

"Sally won't appear when you need to get her out of the cells, but if you toggle collision off (hit ` then type tcl and hit enter) and walk through the first couple of doors, she reappears and the quest can continue."

This should probably work. I looked at the wiki before, but couldn't find anything...guess I wasn't looking in the right place.

I'm having this same problem. :confused: I'm in the Mothership Zeta mission and no Sally. I tried turning collision off and walking through the doors, as suggested above. It changed nothing.

 

Here is my mod load order, as limited as it is:

I've checked the Readme files for all the mods I added and none of them listed a problem that could cause this.

 

Any other ideas on how to fix this so I can complete this DLC?

OK, I spent some more time looking for help and found the Mothership Zeta Bugs page (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mothership_Zeta_bugs). After reading it, I used the following console commands:

  • prid xx000987 (where xx is the load order number of the Mothership Zeta DLC)
  • moveto player

 

This worked...partly. These two commands resulted in Sally showing up in the hallway near me. Unfortunately she won't interact with me at all. If I try to speak with her (using the activate key) I get nothing. I don't get dialogue options and I don't get a canned response. If I go to the other door that won't open, the one we need Sally to open for us, she just stands there in the hallway, in the spot where she first appeared, and does nothing.

 

How can I get her activate, to crawl through the vent and open the door for us and otherwise play the role she is supposed to play?

OK, I did a little more research.

 

I used the prid xx000987 to summon Sally, then I used the Kill command to kill her and the Resurrect command to bring her back. As soon as I did this she ran off to crawl into the vent and open the door.

 

I've been playing for another hour, making my way through the ship and so far Sally is working correctly. Yeah! :biggrin:
