Very stylish design, I like it a lot better than the old one, and also very functional. I esspecially congratulate on the decision to put the menu on the right side, contrary to what has become standard for reasons unknown to mankind. All in all very coherent work considering the short amount of man-hours it took.

Ok, that being said now on to constructive criticism:

1) The banner looks cheap, maybe put on a contest for a new one?

2) The ordering of comments seems odd and makes them hard to read. Better make that forum-style, opening post on the first page and just add new ones at the end.

3) As much as I ike menus on the right, but two columns take up to much room. Better make that one and the entries expandable. That way the column will still fit into standard resolutions without the need to scroll down to even see all choices whilst allowing even more content to be displayed. Also a different background colour for the menus would help a lot to distinguish between navigation and content or maybe just reverse the colour scheme there.

Hm... can't find anything else to whine about, really well done, Dark0ne!

(Now how's that for the first post of a lurker, eh?)

I didn't see a place for mirrors in the submissions area. I think its a good idea to have a fixed or preset place to find alternate downloads and/or requirements. Perhaps they could work like the Calling/Contact card popup.

The font color in the Assistant is dark on dark for the unselected items and with no hover highlighting they are hard to read.I have "Invision Power Board skin developed by Transverse Styles" enabled Are there more?

The buttons in the forums post frames for EDIT and REPORT... are pretty small and hard for me to read. Any one else having trouble?

I do not fully understand why you deleted tessource and made a new one. There was everything on tessource! You just finished the Tag project and you make a new site. And sorry to say this, but it has much less faetures then Tessource. But not my problem.

Please, dont let this comment sound like I dont appriciate your work, cause nothing is less true. I like this site, I just think Tessource was better...

He had take TESSource down because his business partner pulled out, and they owned the rights to the TESSource site- Dark0ne managed to negotiate ownership of the member and file databases, but he had to make an entirely new site. And considering he did it in just nine days, I think he did an outstanding job! You can't expect all the functionality of TESSource so soon- Dark0nes going to add it in bit by bit, as soon as he's had a well-earned rest.

I agree with Septim and Jumonji, there are a few creases to be ironed out still, but nothing nearly as major as they suggested- sure a bit more contrast, and maybe a few more images would be nice, but they're not particularly important.

Well done Dark0ne, on making such a brilliant site so quickly!

Do our subscriptions carry over to the new site? I understand if the money was lost in the site transfer so I'm not blaming anyone, just curious. (I tried to use the premium download and it rejected me.)

To Dark0ne,

The site is looking good and running well so far, of course you still have a ways to go yet, but you will get there, especially doing it all on your own, many sleepless nights. congrats to you.

To everyone else. This is not a rant, just pointing out some facts of web site life.

As Dark0ne said, this is not a fan site, there are already plenty of those. It is a service/resource site. Most of you come here to download mod files and chat on the forum. Not to look at the scenery.

The first rule of thumb for most web sites is to work on the K.I.S.S principle, and this site is certainly KISSABLE so far.

To fill a site with graphics, flash and all the other 'pretties', is a resource hog. What do you want, faster download, or a lot of useless eye candy. May look pretty for the first few times, but then it gets D.B, then later it becomes down right annoying.

So ask yourself do you want 'Pretty' or do you want 'Service'. If you want pretty, then subscribe, because it will cost a lot more bucks/quids to dish up both.

Give the man a break, he is a Uni student for heavens sake, doing this out of his own pocket, and where ever he can scrounge so bucks/quids from. He is not some mega corp.

So cut the man some slack, be a little thankful for this site. It is the best out there for TES resources. You do not have to register or pay to download, just come along, get what you want, then leave. It is a top service as far as I am concerned.

Dark0ne, a small suggestion if I may, that just might add to the subscriptions, under the name have some sort of acknowledgement of their membership level. Anything to boost the coffers.

In short, Dark0ne, you are the designer/builder, you are the only one that knows how much quids/bandwidth you have. You do the site how you want it.

Take a leaf from the modding community, 'Build the mod for yourself first', then later change what you can change to suite others.

Have a good day one and all.

E.K

Not that it's any of my business, but it must've been rather sudden that your partner withdrew from TESSource, given all the changes you'd made to it right beforehand. On the surface I'd be rather...angry, though I know absolutely nothing of the factors involved.

I do know that many of those functionalities added to Source before its untimely demise probably required a fair amount of work on your part, in which case many of them will have to be re-organized/done over again, if at all. If you somehow got screwed in that whole Source deal (and that appears possible from a 3rd-party perspective), my condolences.

Onto the site itself: I expected it to be down more than 9 days. I know making a fully-functional website from scratch involving the amount of data which was present on the Source

takes a lot of effort. I'll be honest and say I do like the look of the old site more. I'll also be honest and say that since Nexus retains most of Source's core functionalities, looks can be gotten past.If the purpose of this section is to present judgments and ideas about the new site as a whole, I'll reserve mine until you've had more time to work on it, though the fact remains that this is still the best site to find mods. Congrats on your progress thus far.
