owlpaw12
Alright, so I've made my mod, wrote the readme, and know I'm ready to make a .rar file with everything in it. So I go into winrar and make a new archive. I can add the read me, but when i go to add the .esp I don't see it. I only see mods that I've downloaded. I made sure i saved the mod, i can play the mod in game, but i can't see it in the data folder. P.S. I'm running Windows 7.
Hickory
Don't use WinRAR, use 7Zip. The compression is MUCH better, and it has better features to boot. And did I mention it's free?
prandiningrat
@Hickory Using 7zip, It's ok for uploder but not downloader. since 7z archives cannot be repaired, probably because it's free..:whistling:@owlpaw12 you dont need to run winrar to create rar, most archive softwares supporting shell integration, so just rgiht clcik on the files you want to put on archive then create as rar or zip... AlfredTetzlaff
Hi,You probably installed Oblivion in the default location (c:\Program Files\blabla...). For security reasons, Applications and Users are not allowed to write in that Path. This can lead to further Problems with Mods and Mod Tools like OBMM, BOSS etc. For now, look for your .esp in a Folder called "Virtual Store". Path should be something like this:C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\VirtualStore Reinstalling Oblivion to a path outside of "Program Files" is highly recommended, just put it somewhere like c:\games\oblivion.Have a look at Bben's Reinstall Procedure, right here on the nexus. Hope this helps a bitAlfred
