Major freezing problem...

Are you installing into a different area part from program files ? You cant expect to install into the same directory and not have the same problems before, its most likely in your default fallout directory that there's some corrupt or nuisance files that are causing your freezes.

Steam directory, was previously installed in Program files (86)

I think its a much larger problem than that anyway, I've just tried 2 other games, Exact same thing.

I checked event log and I had 50 thousand events...

From today, they have all been about chkdsk.... Apparently some files in C are corrupt which could explain the problems ive been having when booting the computer. However I have run chkdsk several times already, and it dosent report any errors...

Man I'm stumped lol :)

You defragged before ? sounds silly but before my New Vegas directory was fragged out to hell with all the textures i was installing etc, try something like gamebooster, it defrags game directorys and not the whole system, saving time :)

Where the other 2 games Bethesda games also ?

Sounds like more of a hardware issue then, or possibly your graphics card driver, but I'm guessing your all up to date :)

Only thing I can think of is your graphics card, I found a link to a nvidia forum page, basically the 400 series cards came with a lot of problems supposedly and there seems to be an issue running them with 64 bit for some reason.

Heres the link:
