Matthew29
So today I downloaded the Pipboy remover mod (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4180) because for Role-Playing sake, I wanted to get rid of that ridiculous machine.Download went fine, placed the files in the right maps (or so I thought) and I decided to test it. First impression was positive. The Pip-boy has been removed and there were no clipping issues or something like that. Flashlight worked perfectly and when I pressed the B button for three seconds, the edit menu appeared. But when I tried to acces my Pipboy, things were looking pretty bad. When I pressed the TAB button, I got the same animation when you would normally have a Pipboy, but this time I didn't get the usual screen with all my armor, weapons, etc. I just got the same view I had in First Person, only with an added red layer. I tried pressing TAB a few more times and I noticed that this red screen was the infamous Red Exclamation Mark. This shouldn't happen. According to the description, you could still use your Pipboy, it would only be invisible when you didn't use it. I really didn't understand it. I put the .esp file in my Data folder. I did forget the meshes at first, but even when I moved those, I still got the problem. Can someone please help me? I really want this mod to work. Am I doing something wrong? Please help me. (sorry if my English is a bit hard to understand, it's not my native language)
BlackRampage
Welcome! Anyway, do you have Archive Invalidation? If not; download it here: ArchiveInvalidationShould solve the infamous exclamation mark issue. (your English is just fine btw  )
Matthew29
Thanks for replying, I already have Archive Invalidation. (it is set on Activate, I guess that's good)I already had it before I installed this mod, so the problem must be something else. [edit]: I figured out the problem. It were the meshes, I put them in the wrong file so the game thought they were missing, hence the exclamation mark. But it works now. :D This topic can be closed.
