Chaoticaltair
Greetings Nexus Community. My question is simple. What exactly would be necessary for me to create a weapon? For example I have a weapon (Or rather I have a 3d Max model with a texture) what else would I need. Would the model itself serve as a mesh or could the models texture be usable in game? If so what is the process from getting the model into the GECK and creating a working weapon out it. In case you were wondering about the weapon is the Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk 1 (The British WW2 Bolt Action Rifle). I imagine the rifle (Being a Bolt-Acton) could use existing animation for the action. I Do not wish to ask someone else to do this for me (I feel that would be rude for my first post) but will accept any offers for help. Model Image below Thank you in advance. SpeedyB64
How High detail is that model? You will need The Niftools plugin for max so you can export a nif file. Then you will need Nifskope to set it up.
Chaoticaltair
About 5,000 polygons....
SpeedyB64
That's a lot of polys. It should work but it will have an impact on performance. Do you have 3ds max?

SpeedyB64
The nif exporter only supports up to Max 2010.You can still export as obj and import that into Nifskope.
