Pernese
Hello! So, I had an issue today where my power flickered for a brief moment. It did not kill my computer, but I thought I should shut it down quickly just to be safe. The problem is that I was compressing a mod archive using OBMM, and I had to abort the operation through the task manager to shut down my computer safely. However, with my computer back up, OBMM no longer runs. Now whenever I try to start it, it gives me a message that reads "Oblivion mod manager must be installed to oblivion's base directory. If you have moved or renamed 'oblivion_default.ini', please replace it." Now, as far as I know, that .ini is in the My Games folder for Windows 7, right? I don't see any .ini files that have oblivion in the name in the main game folder. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling OBMM both manually and with the auto-installer to no avail, as well as starting Oblivion and then quitting to see if it recreated the 'ini file. Again nothing, although the mods I had previously installed through OBMM worked. Can anyone help me with this? I've had no issues with anything really until I had to hard-stop the program. What should I do? Thank you!
gremtack
don't know if this will help but ... id disable/remove the mods you have setup with obmm then try to reinstall obmm i think its like trying to delete a folder whilst reading a doc inside said folder comp says cant delete 'bla bla' ie obmm wont work because of those previous mods you have installed.. Keirgarth
Why not just try and reinstall OBMM on top of what you have? I would make a backup of everything in the mods folder for OBMM first obviously, but it should work and should replace or repair anything that might have gotten corrupt.
