Keirgarth
I have just installed OOO, Frans, Warcry, MMM, FCOM, bobs armor, armamentarium, exnems, nGCD, Alluring Potion bottles and Wine bottles, and a couple of other mods that don't affect textures or meshes. I have followed the directions I believe correctly. I followed the order for the install, used BOSS to sort the mods, Wrye Bash to do it's thing to the mods and created the bashed patch and started the game. When I enter the Chorrol fighters guild on the main floor to the left there are 2 missing meshes around the chandelier above the table and several more to the left and behind that table. In the Mages guild there are 3 missing meshes right above the little table to the left as you enter. I really don't want to attempt to uninstall each of those mods separately to try and find out which one I missed the textures on. Does anyone know which mod might change something in those areas so I can start looking for something specific? The guy that greets you at the door in the fighters guild is also missing his entire body, just a head floating around, but I am pretty sure I don't have a body mod installed correctly for that one. MShoap13
RefScope or Form ID Finder can be used to determine which mod(s) is/are responsible for the missing meshes. This kind of thing usually happens when copying and pasting the meshes and textures from a mod into your \Data\ directory. Be sure there's not a folder named Data in your \Data\ directory or that there isn't a meshes or textures folder in your \Oblivion\ directory. When installing mods it's usually much easier to install one or two at a time then do a little play testing to make sure there aren't any issues before moving on. Installing 10+ mods at once makes it a real pain to pinpoint issues, when they do arise. And they will arise. Also, keeping backup saves (simply copy and paste your save file from \My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\ to another folder) before installing mods that affect gameplay elements is a good idea. As an example, a lot of the different leveling mods completely change your character's stats. These changes often cannot be undone at a later point without some serious calculating and using the console (which altering Actor Values in the console has been known to corrupt games if done improperly). Keirgarth
I appreciate the response, and yes I did take shortcuts thinking that I had used most of the mods before so I shouldn't have any trouble. I have since decided to do as you suggest and load 1 to 2 mods max and check in game. So far I have most of the mods loaded again and everything seems to be working correctly, though now I suspect that the Alluring potion bottles and Wine bottles was the issue with the missing meshes. The main reason I hadn't wanted to go through this was because it has taken me over 6 hours of installing and testing so far and I have not got all the mods I want back in the game yet, heheh. I like mods. :)
HeyYou
Did you do anything about archive invalidation?
Keirgarth
I have archivevalidationinvalidated.bsa installed if that is what you mean. So far I have played for over a day with no issues to speak of though there are still some anomalies in the game. I didn't load the Alluring potions and wine bottles though and probably won't. The anomalies I am seeing now are after I have enchanted some clothing I don't see the clothes or my arm, only my hand in first person when casting. They are visible in other views though, so not a huge deal. I am also having an issue with sound where I hear voices that are behind me on my front speakers louder than if I were facing the person that was speaking.
