D3athAngel461
After switching a few mods on and off OBMManager trying to see what will work, I've tried to start Oblivion, only to have it crash as it starts up. I have the latest patch, and it's not the mods, any ideas? Edited August 22, 2011 by D3athAngel461
HeyYou
After switching a few mods and: it's not the mods... Really? So, was the game crashing BEFORE you shuffled mods? Crash at startup is generally a missing master crash. One of your mods has a dependency on one of the mods you turned off. Or, you need to rebuild your bashed patch (if you have one...) after doing the mod shuffle.
D3athAngel461
It crashed like 10 to 20 minutes after I started playing, but I figured that's because my computer is a piece, but now when I open the launcher and start Oblivion, it sort of minimizes and doesn't play... David Brasher
Use Wrye Bash and look for your missing master. Failing that, I recommend that you try one of these options: (1) Restore your load order back to how it was before the problem started. (2) Deactivate all the mods you remember touching in your latest shuffle. (3) Go nihilistic and deactivate all your mods and start reactivating them slowly and systematically in small groups with ample play-testing between each installation.
