marharth
I believe in order to disarm them you need a explosives skill. Not sure though.
WrathOfDeadguy
I don't believe they are skill-dependent... when you run up to them and activate them they shut off just like ordinary mines do rather than popping up an action menu. Explosives skill only determines how close you can get to mines before you trigger them; you can disarm mines even with no points in the skill at all. You should just be able to run up and switch the proximity alarms off without any trouble.
ArthurSpeakman
When doing the Advanced and Robot Compliance tests, are the Proximity detectors governed by Explosives or Sneak? Best bet, make sure you have 6 Agi and 6 Per, then at 14 take the Light Step Perk. Then, you don't have to disarm them, you can hack the laser IFF circuits, and shoot the turrets. Sneak around the bots, and you have an infinite Stealth Boy dispenser!
