RuaDragonheart
I'm using the Pipboy Readius mod, and I'm now dealing with a peculiar error: namely, it's like the PC is holding the device out too far from the screen, making it impossible to read. Reinstallation so far hasn't helped, and neither has mod placement in the load order and the deactivation of possible conflicting mods helped, either. warkiller75
thats how its supposed to be. its not supposed to fill the screen, its meant to be small. to my knowlege anyway. Edited August 23, 2011 by warkiller75
RuaDragonheart
thats how its supposed to be. its not supposed to fill the screen, its meant to be small. to my knowlege anyway. It was about half the size of the views in all the screenshots. The screen of the pipboy itself was only taking up a fourth of the screen--you couldn't read anything in it. I have since got the view to work again... and now it refuses to remove the pipboy glove, and the light function doesn't work--pressing B won't turn it on, and I can't remap the key either. warkiller75
are you launching the game thru fose?
RuaDragonheart
Yes. I've got FOSE and FOMM, like the instructions say--still not working. Is there some sort of missing instructions on this, saying when to install during the game? I'm wondering if it can't be used properly if installed during the origin... but I doubt it. satanslilhelper
IIRC, you can change your fallout3 ini to adjust how close your readius displays on screen. It's been a while, (and I don't have FO3 install atm) but I think it was the line fPipboy1stPersonFOV. Change the value on that line to a smaller number to make bring the screeen closer. I had mine on 25 or something (yes, I'm short-sighted, lol - see old screen as an example), but experiment to see what's right for you. I seem to remember that when Readius installs via FOMM, it automatically asks if it can change the value from 47(vanilla) to 35, did you perhaps say no? RuaDragonheart
Like I said, the FOV is no longer the issue; I got that straightened out. Now the problem is that the scripting for it is offline--the B button no longer turns on the light, and holding it down won't let it be remapped. Tab still doesn't turn it on, either. And furthermore, the scripting hasn't been removing the Pip-Boy Glove from my character. I know I can remove it with the console, but I also know that the mod should've done that for me on its own. RuaDragonheart
I decided to test a hypothesis and started a clean game with no mods, and progressed all the way out of the Vault before saving, quitting, and installing the Readius mod, and now it's working as intended. AlexScorpion told me that shouldn't be the case, that it should work even through the vault, but he did say that sometimes people had issues with Readius when in Vault 101 and Vault 112, so I guess the problem was a game quirk. Thanks for the help regardless.
