Glenstorm
if porting a weapons from new vegas can be done how? Can be done. But nobody would because of copyright. Yes, that applies to transfers between Bethesda games as well. As long as you do it yourself for your own use, it's fine. But anything other than that, it's inviting trouble. Dusmi
The reason for this is because Bethesda owns the rights too the Fallout series, but they contracted Obsidian to create New Vegas. So Obsidian owns the intellectual property to New Vegas. Strange I know, but that's the current copyright system
Dusmi
If you really want a New Vegas weapon, look into the "Requiem for the Wastland" mod. It combines the too. As far as I know It's the only legal way to do it
Fonger
almost all items in Vegas came from FO3 in the first place so back-porting weapons would be odd but porting modded weapons requires permission of the (various) people who created the vegas mod and its models/skins and just to rub salt into the issue many of the Vegas modded items came form FO3 mods too. (with permissions)so back porting again becomes odd Edited September 15, 2011 by Fonger
