I thought someone said I could play Fallout NV offline? Well im trying play my game and its saying that Steam servers are to busy to let me log in. So how is this fixed? This was the case when I purchased Elder Scrolls VI, had to play online. Its why Steam is garbage to be honest. Any way around it?

I am having the same problem, Steam servers too busy. When I went to the link to check Steam Server status that site is unavailable. I think since it is a single player game and I bought the physical Disk I should be able to play on my own computer without going online.

Whether you bought a physical disk or not, you need to authorize through Steam at least once, then you can set Steam to offline mode and never go online again, and play all you want.

Aside from that, are you also trying to run the game with the 4GB launcher and not running it as admin like the previous fellow did? As far as I know, Steam servers are not down, and haven't been down at all today.

Well i did buy the physical disk but nothing comes on it except for a fast steam installation. And I have even reinstalled steam (again) and it won't let me download my game that I already authenticated with the code that came in the box.

So been there, done that. Now what? Is there a Steam support site or number? I can't seem to find anything on the website about contact information or tech support. And how do you set it to play offline?

that's odd

my disk has the game on it

then asks steam to update the game

where did you buy your disk?

and go offline is a steam option --- click on steam

I too have this problem at the moment, I've patrolled the Bethesda forums and the Steam forums. Steam is 'aware' of the issue and 'working on it' so they say, but there is no update on a timeframe or what is actually going on. I guess it means I have to do something else for a while. I'd just gotten to the Strip too. Damn...
