SpellAndShield
Has there been any clarification on this?
Alcrin
No, there has not. Though I don't really see any reason for them to change it.
Omeletter
On the Journalists' hands on reviews, some mentioned that they've tried alchemy at special stations. No mention of mortar and pestle though.

Alcrin
Really? Well, it's not a change I'd be too upset about. Doesn't really make much sense to have a chemistry lab in your pocket anyway, and unless you can enchant and smith while in a dungeon as well... MizerD
Would be cool if they made it like a mini game, so the quality of what your making depends entirely on how well you do.
Lowk
My impression from what I've read is that all of the "crafting" skills are done at special stations: forge/grindstone for Smithing, alchemy lab for Alchemy, and altars for Enchanting. That's not to say that portable versions aren't available, but I would doubt it.
gretzky99
I recall hearing from one of the videos, that alchemy know is like a table top thing...you can't just do it anywhere. Kind of makes sense...I would rather have my own chemlab to work on potions.

Lowk
Same! I kind of like the image of my character crouching in some dusty basement, alternately munching on leaves and dumping liquids together, with the occasional explosion. :wallbash: For science!
