draconix
And to think of how far games/technology have come along in such a short amount of time. I got Morrowind when I was young, but parents' PC couldn't play it because the PC only had 24-bit color, not 32-bit. When Oblivion was coming out, I was just out of high-school, I remember getting an Nvidia GeForce 7800GS oc just for Oblivion. I watched videos for hours, deeply analyzing and psyching myself up for Oblivion. I was blown away by the moving leaves, picking up ingredients, killing deer for meat... And now I'm doing the same thing for Skyrim... Forgive me. I'm turning 25 tomorrow, and getting a case of the "i'm getting old" blues.

It's all in your head, dude! On topic: I started on Morrowind after doing some extensive research on the Elder Scrolls series in the wikis and forums. It was the only game my crappy Dell could run, and I remember being sucked in right away. I had some incredible hijinx with my Khajiit thief, but after a few months I said to myself, "Self, if you get a new graphics card, you might be able to play Oblivion!" So I did, and I could; and it was even more awesome. After 80 or so hours into that, I got into mods like FCOM and, more recently, Nehrim. ...and now I'm stuck drooling over the new installment, which promises to bring back that same sense of awe I got in the other two games! melkormgc
Wow! I really like how the Orc looks. I never picked an Orc character before but maybe this will change :) Hmm.. ı think they made the Orcs look more "Human". It would be interrsting if they did the same to the Kajiit and Argonian looks. melkormgc
Forgive me. I'm turning 25 tomorrow, and getting a case of the "i'm getting old" blues. Yep, turning 25 does that to you :) You are no longer in your early twenties.. but from looking back from my 31st year I see that I was wrong to feel bad about it. Physically nothing changes... Happy birthdat BTW old man :) Edited August 27, 2011 by melkormgc
billyro
I've always been an imperial, but I think I'll be a nord for Skyrim. Compare them, and nord wins easily. It really is nice to see such awesomeness in every aspect of the game. Skyrim is out there to impress. :)

GuerillaWarlord
Is it just me or are the Argonians starting to look like Turians from Mass Effect? But yeah thanks to this picture I am finding it hard to take Oblivion seriously especially looking at the Orcs
LordWushin
Daggerfall was and is so epic, then Morrowind, and now Skyrim, which to me looks like a combination of both Morrowind and Oblivion.
jedimembrain
As far as style of the races they totally dropped oblivion and went morrowind with each race .. graphics wise its up to date .. no mind blowing skin shaders like crysis2 but its right on par with any other game this gen.
