Occasionally, players (like myself) haven't really played Oblivion for a lengthy amount of time but are still interested in improving the visual aspects of the game. It's hard to judge whether something is a visual improvement to something else if you've never seen it? And I wouldn't want to wait till I see the item, weapon/armour, then decide, then close Oblivion, open the ModManager, blah, blah, blah... its a very tedius process and spoils the fun of gaming.
