If there's an item retexture or an alternative to something else, comparison pictures really need to be added.

 

Occasionally, players (like myself) haven't really played Oblivion for a lengthy amount of time but are still interested in improving the visual aspects of the game. It's hard to judge whether something is a visual improvement to something else if you've never seen it? And I wouldn't want to wait till I see the item, weapon/armour, then decide, then close Oblivion, open the ModManager, blah, blah, blah... its a very tedius process and spoils the fun of gaming.

I disagree also, while I like screenshots, it should not be required.

Many good mods don’t have them or at least they don’t at first.

What about sound files for example, what would a screenshot do for you there?
