nomadowns
I've never managed to get any skin mods to work in any game I have tried.I follow all of the instructions but they just don't work for me.In this case, I was trying to install DIMONIZED TYPE3 female body modAfter I install everything, it says to use FOMM and checkbox something but that option isn't there. This is what it says: REQUIREMENTS:================================================================================================1. FOMM http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6402. ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944================================================================================================ INSTALL: ONLY AFTER you got all requirements up and running, install: 1.TYPE3 BODY V3dot5,there are currently 5 body variants to choose from, choose whatever suits your tastes,if any. You can change body variant later at any time by simply installing different one-it will simply overwrite previous. 2. Install TYPE3 V2 TEXTURES from TYPE3 V2 TEXTURE pack. That's it, you're good to go. Okay, I've done all of that. What is it not telling me? The item I'm suppose to select was called "res" or something like that, but it doesn't exist in FOMM. nomadowns
I think I found the problem, there is no actual esp file in DIMONIZED TYPE3 downloads. I've checked all of the .zips and there is no *.esp files.
zmajcek
there is no esp cos skin is replacement just copy files in correct folders and make sure they named correctly and replace original file and should work example upperbodymale_muscular.dds should be upperbodymale.dds and so on PS: before you doo that make backup first you can rename original to upperbodymale_backup.dds Edited August 26, 2011 by zmajcek
nomadowns
Why does it say it requires FOMM then? Why doesn't it work when I did copy all the files to the correct directories? It says to ENABLE THE ESP in FOMM. That is part of the instructions. But there isn't an ESP. After doing some more reading it seems like you have to make your own ESP and is WAY more complex than what the instructions would have you believe.According to this other post you have to put all these different files into a folder and then use FOMM to make your own ESP and it's really confusing. I don't understand why it doesn'tsay anything like that in the instructions for the mod. So very strange.
nomadowns
Just started over and did it again and verified everything was put in it's proper place. It doesn't work. There MUST be an .esp since the instructions clearly state to enable it in FOMM and since it REQUIRES you to use FOMM. However, one doesn't exist. Someone should make a nude skin MOD for this game!! BlackRampage
No, this mod definitely does not requires you to create a .esp. It's just a meshes and textures replacer mod.I don't know why it says FoMM is required though, maybe because you need to toggle archive invalidation on for it to work. (archive invalidation is integrated in FoMM)
