Help with the CS

I'm a COMPLETE noobie when it comes to modding.

Anyway, I wanted to edit the chocolate elves ears to use the lop ears but every time I save the file after finishing

my little edit, the entire esp completely disappears. Does the CS save to some special location or am I doing something wrong...?

ummm..a bit unclear here..are you working on texture? You can't be working on the mesh in CS, if I understand the CS (Photoshop CS?). If you are working on the texture, then you need to save it as a 'dds' file, then change the texture on the mesh using something like Nifscope. Anyway, a bit confused on this one. In Oblivion, the mesh files are 'nif' and the textures are 'dds' You need a program like Blender or a high end 3D application like Maya or 3D Max..to name a few. You can edit or create new textures using photoshop, but they have to be converted to the 'dds' format. You can get the plugins for Photoshop from Nvidia,,just search for dds plugins for Photoshop.

Probably not a big help here, but not sure what you are asking.

Sorry, I should clarify. It's the oblivion construction set. Sorry. It just doesn't let me save any edits or if it somehow does, the file completely disappears.

OHhhhh...oops...CS..got it. OK, makes sense now, sorry. When I make a mod from CS, I give it a new name and then (in my case) it saves to 'my documents' folder. I then copy and paste it into the 'data' directory or folder. So, that being said, I am going to guess that CS tells you that it did save the new file (esp) after you complete the new mod? If so, then it may just be an issue of where CS is saving too. I think by default, CS does save it in the 'Data' folder, maybe open it up again and re-save and see where it is saving too.

heh...don't know why I didn't figure that one out....LOL! :wallbash:
