  1. LMAO!!!! I needed a good laugh today and this one did it! I'm with you, I don't like spiders either and I have pulled mods over that one, at least give the option to include spiders or not. This one just made my day... :teehee:
  2. Your PSU is having a cooling fan problem. It is either dirty or on its way out. If the PSU gets too hot it will trip out. The fan can be replaced, it is not that difficult but be aware that once you open the PSU case, the caps (capacitors) inside are still charged, but the fan is easy to get too...just be aware of what you are doing, also, vacuum it out. I clean my entire system and PSU at least once a year.
  3. I am running an AMD FX-8350 / 8 core. I installed a Corsair liquid cooling system and the CPU rarely gets hot. It also depends on your case, that is if a liquid cooling system can be installed and how it is set up for ventilation. When I got my FX-8350 a new heat sink and fan did come with it and you could switch over to a liquid cooling system later but I have no idea how efficient it is as I installed the liquid cooling when I installed the CPU.
  4. 5. I used the Nvidia plug in with CS3 long ago...not sure if the Intel plug in will work or not. Just try it and see, my guess would be it should work. If not, simply remove the Intel plug in. My best guess would be if you are using CS3 on (example) win 7 and it works fine, then it should work. This is the reason why I haven't gone to Win 10 because CS6 doesn't work correctly on Win 10 and after spending a fortune on CS6...I'm going to use it. :teehee: Let us know
  6. This very thing drove me nuts for a while. The second mod listed for the 'Intel Textrure Works' plug in (Photoshop) will work for you, and yes you should be fine with CS4. I use CS6. While the process of creating your diffuse textures (.dds) is basically the same, you need to save it ( and all mapping textures) selecting the Intel Texture dds option rather then the standard (reffering to the Nvidia PH plug in) dds. Also keep in mind that where mapping is concerned, the 'blue' channel is not used as such your normals map (name_d.dds) should appear a shade of yellow/green color and the shine (name_s.dds) will appear as a red / green combination or variations there of....red being flat or dull and green being shine. the more red = dull or flat, more green = shine/gloss. The alpha channel is used differently as well. There are some good videos on Utube...the process is a bit different and for me took a bit of time to get the hang of it. I'm going on memory here as it has been a while since I have done anything with FO4 so someone may correct me on this info. hope this helps.
  7. Good to hear, since I don't use Win 10 (until I have too) I don't know how the security features work. Good job, and have fun.
  8. This is interesting. I had this issue some time ago, but it wasn't the 'file' itself. It was an OS issues, in this case Win 7 / 64 bit. You don't mention what OS you are using and that might help. In any case, I'm going to guess that if you try in install anything requiring an 'installer' you are going to get a flag saying you don't have permission to install. I would suggest looking up 'not able to install programs without permission' or something like that for windows, MS has a quick fix that will correct this issue. Turns out that sometimes an update corrupts this feature and needs to be fixed. I could not install anything even using 'run as administrator'. The other option is to manually install the ENB which I always do and that isn't difficult to do and that will avoid using the 'installer' that comes with that ENB. Anyway, from what you describe, this sounds like a 'Windows' issue so I'd try looking there and not at the ENB itself. Hope this helps, just throwing it out there.
  9. I had a weak moment during one of those sales recently. Bought 'Way of the Samarui 4'. heh...bad choice. That was the worst game I have ever 'tried' to play. I even pluged in a controler...gave up. Maybe forty five minutes and I said enough. For once the reviews were pretty much correct. Imagine that.
  10. Thought I was the only one *whew* that's a relief. :teehee:
  11. Hi, going by what you have said, I'm guessing you are playing 'Oblivion'. I would recommend the 'Roberts Bodies' mod. Very well done, you can have nude or not and both male and female bodies. There are several versions, so get the latest version that is available. Plus you have the selection of various body types such as athletic, to muscular.
  12. Which century are we talking about, this one or the last century? heh...ummm Asteroids on an Atari 2600 near as I can remember on a HUGE 19 inch TV no less.
  13. A lot of hype on this one for sure. I, for one, will let this one pass by. I love sci-fi but just can't get into the ME franchise at all for some reason. I never did finish ME3, got so bored I removed it, and ME 2 was tedious at best. I think if modding could be done it would certainly be a good thing for the this new one coming out. It will be interesting to see if modding can be done.
  14. Welcome from another *coughs* old timer. PC player here but I do have Xbox (360 and Xbox 1) and PS3. Playing the Division and, well, kinda hooked on the stupid thing. But no DarK Zone for this kid. Have fun!
  15. Give the guy plenty of room and don't stare at him.
  16. First off, I would ask what size are you talking about? It is possible, but can be pricey because you may have to purchase the sheets and have them custom cut to size. Newsprint stock used to be available in large sheets that could be cut to order. Most of all it will depend on the weight of the stock you want, plain, uncoated, coated, etc so you would have to look at that as well. Some shops would require a 'minimum' order of stock, as an example, 100 sheet minimum, so keep that in mind. I have been out of the business for a while so where you would get paper stock is the question. Office Depot has printing centers now, they might be able to order some stock, or there still might be shops that still sell printing supply's / paper stock. Guess that would depend on where you live. I have a large format printer that I use and I can print up to 11.7 X 16.5, and those sheets are readily available in a variety of finishes but it won't handle newsprint stock because of the lite weight of the paper. Again, that size of paper is expensive but readily available. You also have to keep in mind, what size can your printer handle? I'm guessing that you want to print some items yourself and some printers can handle larger formats but not all. In short, yes you can...but it could be pricey. Hope this helps. Not all paper is equal, so good luck with your project. One last bit...keep this in mind. What you see on your screen isn't what you will get when you print, meaning you will have some waste when you print until you get a good result.
  17. I'm playing 'the Division'. Bought it on sale (on disc), it arrived, put it on shelf and forgot it was there. Almost five months later it fell off the shelf to remind me. Now I can't seem to get away from it. Totally enjoying it but strictly single player...the DZ is the is the forbidden zone for me. :woot:
  18. I'm curious as to what version of NifSkope you are using? The reason I say this is because something similar happend to me using the 'new' version of NifSkope instead of the older version. What I found is, the newer version of NifSkope (2.0.0 pre-alpha) will sometimes open a 'nif' file from FO3 / FONV (usually not in my case) but more importantly, it is geared for the newer Intel based compression for textures used in FO4. Typically, textures from FO3 / FONV will not even show up with this new version. The older version of NifSkope (1.1.3) is what I use for FO3/FONV textrures. I'm sure someone else who knows more about this will make a comment on this that knows more then I do. I'm just throwing this out there based on my own experience. I mention this because you are saying that in GECK the texture is showing up as a blue which to me indicates a possible texture issue similar to what I experienced the first time I was trying to make textures for FO4.
  19. Ibuprofen oh...I am not old....just more 'mature'. Just sayin.... :teehee:
  20. You are obviously frustrated, and I can understand why. But you might want to explain the issue you are having and what you are trying to do, maybe include a screen shot if possible. That way some of the brighter folks (pun intended) then myself can help you out. Just sayin...
  21. Looking at the screen shots I have to say that I am impressed, very fine work. Unfortunately the download site is in Russian(?). Perhaps this will be placed on Nexus too. Good work.
  22. It has been a long time, but I am back. Getting backing on track and not looking back. Things have been tough and life has thrown a lot at me but I'm still here.
  23. WOW..that is a ton of mods! Just looking at it, I would suggest that you put your 'Enhanced Weather' at the bottom of your load order and 'Marts Mutantant Mod' somewhere towords the bottom as well. I'm not familiar with some of your mods. I do know that some of your mods require FOSE and you don't say if you have that installed. More to the point, I'll ask the same thing I asked another person having a similar issue. Do you have the '3 Gb enabler' installed and did you make the changes for your CPU. With this many mods, you are going to need more memory then the game allows by defualt which is only 2 GB. Not enough memory for the game and this many mods..the game will (for the most part) crash. If your CPU has more then 2 cores (and most do now) you need to change the FO3 ini to make sure the game only uses two cores, other wise the game tends to get lost...for lack of better words. The 3 GB enabler is availble on the FO3 nexus mod site, take a look. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/6510/? Here is a link to address the CPU mulitple core issue, you may not have been aware of this. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1519980 And of course, a lot depends on your system itself but I'm just throwing this out there. Hope this helps, and some one else may have more suggestions.
  24. At the risk of asking a stupid question...you are using 'archive invalidation'. The other thing that might be working against you is the memory issue, are you using the 3Gb enabler? Also, there is the CPU issue, that is...the game was designed around a two core CPU and limited to 2 GB of memory. Note that I said the game...not your system. If you are running a quad core (or more like I am) this fix or patch limits the game to using two cores and not all of them. I'm going to guess that you already have FOSE installed as some of the mods in your load order require this. Just throwing things out there, but with the amount of mods you have, I can see where the 3 GB enabler would be needed for sure, this would allow the game to use more memory and run the mods. I hope someone else will jump in on this, they might know more then I do. Here is a link for you to look at regarding the cpu core issue http://steamcommunity.com/app/22370/discussions/0/846941710314682539/ The 3GB enable is available on the FO3 mods site.
  25. Looking at your load order, I see two 'esp' files mixed in with your 'ESM's. You have to have all of your ESM files together first, then the esp files. I personally would have 'Project Beauty' towards the bottom of my load order. Anyway, move those two esp files below your ESM's and see if that helps. Remember ESM loads first, then the esp. Hope this helps.
