Need advise on CPU-GPU-Mobo relationship

Recommended Posts

They didn't have those particular models at my local Micro Center unfortunately. Not buying from Newegg this time. MC has their combo deal where you bundle Intel processors with a mobo and get $40 off instantly. I would have loved the Asrock P67 Pro3...But I found this one instead for $10 cheaper:

Biostar TP67B+ LGA 1155 P67 ATX

I'm a bit weary on Biostar's overall quality, but I checked reviews on OC and Newegg. They say the board holds up ok. Its specs and features are nice, so that's what I'll be going with. So in the end:

i3 2100 ($100) + Biostar TP67B+ ($100) - $40 = $160 + tax = $170

I'm bored to death of this topic, and I know you guys are too. But am I ok on this?

Nah, that doesn't work. Though they both perform equally when it comes to gaming, the MicroCenter deal I spoke of earlier only applies to the i3/i5/i7 processors.
