other races

I think there is one sentient race that has featured in nearly every TES game, is moderately civilized, wears clothing, uses weapons, uses shelter, prepares food, has both male and female counter parts and is the most deserving of playable status IMHO.

Goblins.

how about skeleton race.

Skeletons are already in the game.

Besides, we are talking about lore friendly races like the Falmer, Dwemer etc.

I know, my idea was that you can be a skeleton, think how awesome it will be, and there will be a town of frendily skeleton.

Except they aren't capable of speaking. Kinda necessary to interact in society unless you're gonna create an entirely separate campaign for goblins to do.

Plus while I like monster races as a side thing personally I don't think I could ever take playing as a goblin seriously.

I read an uploader comment on their youtube video that said the falmer aka snow elves are confirmed, they said it was shown in a pax prime 2011 playthrough, but im suspicious. But I would like to see a half elf half human race, kinda like how the uruk hai from lotr look with the reddish skin but with less protruding teeth.

None particular in mind here, but it would be interesting to see some more mixed races, like the half-orc or whatever. It's fun to speculate about what their stats/weaknesses/strengths would be :D

And even if it might not be considered an actual "race", I'd like to see the different types of vampires that I read about in a book somewhere in Oblivion. Their described special powers, approaches and homelands sounded very intersting! If I remember correctly, there would be one kind that lived under the ice of frozen lakes? How awesome wouldn't that be in Skyrim?!

Starting off a character as a custom vampire-race in Oblivion was/is quite popular, and so I wouldnt say no to have something like that in vanilla as well :)

Agronak, the Gray Prince, was a half orc half breton vampire. He took after his Orcish mother, but the vampire taint in his father (and perhaps the Bretonic heritage as well) caused him to be gray-skinned. Half races take after their mothers with traces of their fathers.

Heres a vid with all the races :)

<snip>

Thanks for sharing, but the video itself is super worthless. It doesn't show much, and is just a montage of some character generation presets. You can find tons more here.

Also, this topic isn't about the 10 playable races of Skyrim, it's about OTHER races. Did you not catch that from the title of the thread alone? ;)
