Game crashes to desktop

Here is my problem that I've been trying to resolve for past few days now. I have the official patch, the unofficial and the supplemental patch installed. I have OBMM, BOSS, TES4edit, and Wrye Bash installed. Now funny thing is prior to installing Wrye Bash everything seems fine. Right after installing Wrye Bash, the game will not load and the error message will pop no matter how I tweak the bash patch. I'm not an advanced user but I feel confident enough to use all the utility software. What am I doing wrong here? It can't be the load order because BOSS will sort it correctly if there was a conflict. I don't know what to do. I've been installing and uninstalling this game for past few days now. Please any advice will be greatly appreciated.

BOSS is a great tool. But it is not perfect - You may have to make some manual changes. The author says that in his description.

Wrye Bash is also a great tool, but is often misunderstood or misapplied by neophytes. It doesn't fix anything, it is (primarily for most people) a tool for reducing the total number of mods to load or for use with certain mods that need to be merged with portions of other mods (such as FCOM) or to combine similar small mods into one larger one - . Bash patches have actually caused more problems for me than they have fixed. So I don't make a new bash patch unless it is absolutely required.

The most common problem that causes the crash on start is a missing master - and Wrye Bash can tell you what is missing if that is the problem. It doesn't fix it, it just tells you what is missing. You still have to do the work yourself.

Telling us what the error is might help, as well as a load order list. If you are trying to install FCOM, or deadly reflex, get everything else working properly first, then install them one at a time.

Here is a troubleshooting tool that might help. http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Revert_to_vanilla_data

I did toggle the lock time off otherwise what's the point of using BOSS right? Just top of my head I was using these mods not in particular order:

Oblivion.esm

COBL.esm

All Natural.esm

Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp

Unofficial Oblivion Supplemental Patch.esp

CitadelDoorFix.esp

Cute_Elves.esp

Beautiful Women Revised.esp

All Natural.esp

All Natural Real Lights.esp

Natural Environments.esp (creatures and sounds not the whole mod)

Complete Naming Project.esp

MAO 1.1

LoadingScreensAddOn.esp

No Annoying Comments.esp (for merchants)

Sounds of Cyrodiil

Realistic Health.esp

Realistic Leveling.esp

Natural Wildlife.esp

Immersive Interiors.esp

Anyways.... these are the ones I was using. I probably forgot to mention few of them though. Like I said everything was working fine until I installed the Wrye Bash. It is necessary for one of the mods I was using or at least I think it is. What am I doing wrong here. I always use the BOSS and then tweak a bit and use edit software to clean when necessary. Once I install Wrye Bash, all hell breaks loose. I already lost my character once already because of this. Sorry about the long post guys and thank you for the advices. What can I do at this point?

eh I should mention that I'm using HGEC 1.21 and OBSE and all of its plugins except Pluggy but I do not think it would cause the problem. Besides, if there was a conflict the game would not work even before installing Wrye Bash I think.

Just installing Wrye Bash should have absolutely no effect on your game. Using it however might if used incorrectly.

When you first launch Wrye Bash you should see a suggestion window if any of your mods are tagged as mergeable. It is possible that some are not as mergeable as others and might conflict if merged with others. With that being said, some mods do announce settings that should be used if you are using Wrye Bash. Things like bash:graphics etc. pay attention to these and make sure the comments section of the mod lists these tags. Most mods will get the tags automatically, but some need a little help.

I don't use the merge feature though; I don't feel comfortable using that yet. I only use the bashed patch to correctly toggle the features that the mods are offering. I would skip using the Wrye Bash if I must but some of the mods do require the bashed patch. I'll install the Wrye Bash again and see if that error shows up again. Here's the error message from Windows. I should mention I only have patches and OBSE installed nothing else.

Well, from what I have found out, the exception code is indicating an invalid parameter. The question is what is setting or looking for this parameter that is causing the crash.

To me this suggests that something has gotten corrupt during an install or upgrade of something. This could even be an issue with Windows to be honest as there could be something in Windows that is causing the corruption.
