You are absolutely correct. You are being reasonable. I think it's disgusting and must be abolished, but considering the fact that Oblivion is an "M" game, I doubt the mods or the people really care. Sure, people back themselves up by saying "If you don't like it, don't download it" and "They just look pretty", but we (including those people) all know that you guys just get those mods for the large breasts. I'm a guy, but I'm a modest guy who likes modest and intelligent women, and I always was and always will be above the need for porn or anything sexually oriented. I don't need fantasies of women to come true. I don't need to watch stupid people get it on with each other so I could start touching myself in an inappropriate way. If you think the female body is pretty, why don't you admire a REAL girl, in an appropriate fashion? Can't you just look at them, instead of spamming a bunch of perverted clothing in the Weapons/Armor section, so that I could find some cool equipment easier? Can't you go ONE DAY without looking at a virtual private-part and getting the urge to touch yourself? For those of you who say you can but really can't, I feel bad for you. If you think masturbation is inappropriate and that the natural urges of men (especially pubesant ones) has any thing to do with mental illness then I'm afraid that in my opinion you are the one that is ill. The thought that young men in this world would suppress such releases of ever building testosterone is a scary one. It is my belief (and therefor undebatable) that the majority of people that claim to avoid pornography,nudity and masturbation for moral reasons are being untruthful. The small percentage of those that are being honest are simply adding to the pool of repressed rage building up on this planet.

 

All of my above statements are MY opinion and i am entitled to them. You do not have to agree with them and i have not implied that you do, simply by stating that it is in fact my opinion. Excellent, I respect your point of view as well and in fact I value it. Given your immediate recognition of what i was trying to say and your forthcoming respect for my opinion as well as others makes you more than worthy of membership here and regardless of your views or beliefs I am glad you are here. lets start with how this all started

sex sells and in video games ever since tomb raider game developers have been fueling the fire of fantasys of women because just as in real life a guy will do anything to get that girl so is it when all you have to do is beat the game(but first buy it)

at least half the people who play DOA or tomb raider hate the game and just wanna beat it in hopes of seeing some cleavage

then modders who all along wanted to finnaly see lara croft naked finnaly thought"lets just modify the game so she is and stop with these freaking teases"

then this idea spread to practicaly all games that had hot chicks in them

Okay I've gotta disagree there. This isn't just about nudity, It's about portraying women in a sexy manner. And (I admit it's perfectly possible that I may have missed something in the thread) I don't think anyone has refered to the nudity as art. But if we're talking about some of the uploaded screenshots in the gallery....if the shot-taker took the image and shared it in order to show creativity or spread what they viewed as beauty, then it is art(Regardless of wether or not they succeeded in your mind or mine, or anyones).

I see your point about what motivates some of the uploaders, but who are we really to say? You could be right, I could be right, We may both be partially right, we may both be completely wrong.....But until we crawl in their head and see for ourselves or they tell us, how will we truly know what motivates them? As for magazine adds...I don't know if it's really correct to hold them to the same context as art.(Like comparing apples and oranges) Remember, advertisements are there to sell things.
