ThePopeKYA
I downloaded the construction set for one reason: to edit an NPC's appearance who was added by another mod, specifically Blade Song. Basically, I want to change the companion character's race to a different one. Unfortunately when I finish, save the esp, and load up the game, the game crashes saying that the game is no longer responding. After opening the esp back up in the Construction Set, the character's race has changed from the one I made to the default Vampire race. I haven't changed the IDs or anything and since I'm a total noob at the CS I'm not sure what steps I need to take to prevent this. The only other thing I've noticed is that the Count number has an 'x' superscript next to the 1 when looking at it in the Object window. Any ideas on how to fix this? HeyYou
Load the mod you want to change, make sure it is set as the active file. Make your change, save, and then go in-game and see if it worked. (best to load a save where the npc ISN'T around... and then go find 'em.) I have followed all these steps and the game still crashes and the NPC still reverts to the vampire race. :/ And yes I've made sure the NPC isn't around in my save. I have to quick travel then enter her store to find her, but as soon as the loading screen for that store's cell pops up, the game stops responding. I'll see if I can find a work around. Thanks for the reply.
ThePopeKYA
Found my work around! The Mod added its own custom race. all I had to do was change the textures and meshes of the mod race to my custom one and I basically achieved the same effects!
