I've seen this thread on the top of this forum for weeks and finally decided to take a look at what's been done. Great job! I hope this gets finished.

BTW what is the size of the island compared to FNV's map? Could you post maybe? Best of luck to everybody who works on this.

Right now it's just me in GECK, plus a running conversation between me and Ave and hopefully/possibly AllanOcelot as a modeler for treemaking...

RE the size, I don't have my main PC up right now so I can't quote exact numbers wrt vanilla New Vegas. The Isle is going to be big though. At least DLC size, and if/when the "BigIsle" is done there are still one or two more to do.

The Big Isle is about half of the total land area in Hawaii. Oahu has the most people (~1000 per square mile, IIRC) and has most of the stuff- IRL and in the mod- so it will likely be the last to be added, due to the large quantity of insanely epic buildings/locations and the large scale trans-imperial warfare...

A few other islands may or may not make it in. I'm too tired/lazy to write the whole list, so wiki it is.

Just thought I'd put an idea out for a story:

During the war in Anchorage the Chinese managed to capture one of the Western Hawaiian islands and turned it into a base of operations for the pacific in the years before the great war.

None of Hawaii was directley bombed in the war, but affected by the fallout, making it prime real estate for many European and American companies that survived, and the remenants of the Chinese base went into hiding.

There were many conflicts between the new arrivals to the island and the tribal remains of society that had resided there for hundreds of years, but ultimatley, the companies took control of the island due to larger numbers and a technological advantage.

Over time, the Chinese remenants began growing in numbers and set out to finish their ancestors mission, destroy the capitalist world (or something).

It would contain themes relating to North American/Hawaiian western settlement along with far right vs far left political warfare (for any literature junkies out there)

Penny for my thoughts?
