Cyraxor
I need little help with few things I have wondered for awhile.. What is "the correct" oblivion (UK) install order? Oblivion + v1.2.0416 patch -> Knights Of The Nine -> Shivering Isles + it's v1.2.0416 patch... or what? What is the most simplest working character leveling mod around? I need one with compatibility with overhaul mods like francesco's, UOP ect. and with shivering isles + knights of the nine? Thanks for everyone willing to help me out! pizzaboy
1. Oblivion2. Oblivion v1.2 Patch (not really sure if this is compulsory, but I used it anyway)3. Knights4. Shivering Isles5. ShiveringIsles Patch v1.2.0416 I just re-installed last night. With the Overhauls question, thats just too complicated to answer. I originally used OOO, Francesco's and Martigens together, but wasn't aware that there were conflicts as everything seemed to run fine, so maybe this is the approach you should be taking for now? For a more hardcore approach, you need FCOM to integrate the big overhauls together, but its a very overwhelming process as I discovered. I spent the past 2 days, which also involved a re-install last night due to some conflict issues caused probably because I already had lots of mods running prior to the FCOM integration. As you are doing a new install anyway, it won't hurt for you to check it out here, but be warned it can be a little intimidating if you've never had experiencing loading lots of mods and stuff before (I myself, have only been playing Oblivion the past month or so). At least I having it running with no problems now though, well worth the effort ;) Good luck.
Cyraxor
Thanks for info on that install order :) On to that second question: I meant character leveling mod.. like KCAS or AFLeveling mod which is compatible with all those francesco's ect...If either of those were fully compatible I would use them, but I haven't found any info on that in forums.. They are "old" mods anyhow.
Sypron
You don't need to install 1.2 patch, SI comes with it. You DO still need to get the SI patch though (thats even MORE important).

But the implementation (I reckon, anyway), just slows down the process of levelling. With that in mind, any will do really, cos instead of something like 5000 blade hits to get a level-up, you'll need 10,000 with a 2x slower level-up or however slower you want the system to grade you. I think (can't be certain), but if you have the installer version of OOO, it will ask you how slow you want the levelling to be. Hey, you might want to add Deadly Reflex 3 to your loads as well, it makes combat to require more skill and realistic (definitely recommended, especially for a newcomer to Oblivion just starting with OOO, FFF or MMM installed, cos they greatly increase the difficulty of the game especially when your player is at lower levels), and more fun!! And incase you haven't already... use Oblivion Mod Manager to set your mods load ordering. The standard Oblivion uses the date the mod was created, so in theory, something could override a setting you want in particular mod if a conflict of any kind occurs. The higher a mod is on the load list means it gets loaded first, then the next mod gets loaded (the one directly below it on the load order), so it will override any mods above it if they reference the same thing. OBSE (the script extender) is also required for Deadly Reflex if you intend on using it. The great thing about it is that you don't need to actually know how it works (you just presume it does!). When you want to play Oblivion, just run the OBSE intead of the usual executable. Thats all I've learnt in the past month since I've been playing and applying mods, hope it helps you because I know I could have done with some of that advice at the beginning so I wouldn't have to read up on so much stuff... Thanks for everyone willing to help me out!Don’t quote me on this but someone told me that it’s actually better to install Shivering Isles before Knights Of The Nine, they said SI messed something up on KOTN. I bought KOTN awhile back but haven’t installed yet until I got SI.Now that I have them all I’m going to install SI first then KOTN.I’ve already installed all the other DLC except the new free one coming out next Monday (10-15-07). New free download, Fighter's Stronghold from Bethesdahttp://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/upda...stronghold.html
