watreghost
So I'm having a problem i had with a former computer that i never knew to fix. I installed the oblivion game into my "program files" folder, (the default was "program files x86") from my personal user account on my computer. I have other accounts on the computer, such as my fiance's account. She is also an oblivion fan and I would like to let her play except that when you click data files on any account other than my own, it doesnt recognized any of the oblivion data files INCLUDING THE OBLIVION MASTER FILE!!! I was wondering how to fix this. I currently dont care about my save file that much so if the process involves losing those its fine. i do care about my currnetly install omod mods but if i only end up moving files im sure i can save them by saving them in another folder. Im running windows 7 if it helps anyone but I must mention i was running vista when i first had the problem. Another question that relates only slightly is whether or not its possible for different computer-users to run different mods for example, my fiance might not want the OOOverhaul just because im using it. Please help and thank you for your time.
watreghost
I imagine that if i moved the file into a folder only located in my user-account i might be able to download it seperately onto their accounts as well but does that even sound like it could work? more than one oblivion copy running on the same computer each running independently of eachother? HeyYou
Reinstall the game to another directory OUTSIDE the program files directory...... save you a lot of hate and discontent. Alternatively, you MIGHT be able to set permission for oblivion to "everyone"...... might make it work.
