Container Problem

Playing the game through again, getting pumped for skyrim. In my recent play-through I was actually able to get all of the DLC, including battlehorn castle. I decided to use it as a starter house cause it was new and such, I put all of my stuff in a chest near the entrance that looked good. Fast forward and I've got like 20 hrs in the game, finished fighters guild, did some mage stuff and am pretty far in thieves. I decide to buy the shack in the imp city and store some little trinkets there, I go back to battlehorn and everything is reset, including the quest itself. I believe it was buying the house that might have done it as staying for some time away certainly didn't as I've done that before. I specifically chose battlehorn because the stuff shouldn't reset after I've done some stuff, and the fact the quest itself half reset is also kinda strange.

 

My question is this, is there any way to save my container without just going back to a really old save. Is it possible to transfer inventories or containers between saves. I've tried looking around, but have found nothing. If I could just transfer that chest's inventory or mine from my old save, I'd be super happy.

 

Mods are installed, OOO and such.

Jumbled list of everything I have. None of them really does anything to the houses and such in the game, besides OOO, the unofficial patches and the weather stuff, most of my mods don't do too much to the world itself.

 

I'm not too concerned with the fact the stuff is gone( I would love to fix the problem and maybe help others out in doing it), I'm pretty sure that even if I found the culprit the stuff would still be replaced by some calipers and sack cloth pants. What I really want to know is if i can transfer stuff over from older saves because once I started the thieves guild there wasn't much more i added to the chest as you don't get much from those early quests. If I could transfer the box or inventory from the save where I was doing the mages guild recommendations and then just move to a safe chest, I would be happy.

To the left of the entrance in a room behind a wooden door.

 

Checked it, the items that appear in there are from a leveled list, but, the container shouldn't respawn. (it isn't set to..... not sure if by virtue of having the contents be a leveled list if that forces it to respawn when the cell does.... I don't think it works that way, but, am unsure.)

 

Running any mods that change battlehorn??
