CommodoreBlitz
I need a video editor that has the ability to make that aged look as seen in most Fallout videos(old, filn grain etc), I have Sony Vegas 8 but it seems to crash or hang when I use it. I've tried a few but most won't install as I have windows xp -64bit.I upgraded to xp-64bit because I upgraded to 6gb of ram. But tho most video editors support 32-bit windows xp and Vista and Windows 7 (either 32 or 64bit) they won't install on xp 64-bit..... looking for either a free editor or one you have to pay for. Werne
Sony vegas pro 10 can do what you need, and I think you can install it on xp 64bit. Don't know how much it costs.
JimboUK
Power Director 9 supports XP, I don't know about the 64bit version, it does support Vista/7 64bit. There is a free trial so you won't risk losing money. http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/powerdirector/download_en_GB.html
CommodoreBlitz
hmm I have something that works in windows 7, Thinking about dual booting to keep my xp 64-bit but I would have to risk resizing my external 1 gb hd by 20gbs using a Linux on a usb drive.....there is a little risk mainly because the 1gb hd only has 50gb free and resizing with such low(well low compared to the amount it holds) I've read might be tricking as not sure if the part I make/move to a new partion has files on it....hmmmm(the manual says its fairly safe) I've tried the 64-bit version of Adobe after effects but after I d/l found out the only OS it does not support seems to be xp 64-bit....hmm for a powerful OS not many(I know its outdated but sheeshs its better then normal xp but more prgs support the normal xp) things that are 64-bit seem to be made for it...which is why I got it for my 6gb of ram....(I plan on making a bunch of cutsceanes as I am not much on scripting).
