cheese177
I have Fallout 3 (purchased on steam) installed. I tried modding the game, following all instructions and loading it in FOMM in the right order, but every 5-10 minutes the game will freeze (sounds will continue to play) and I'm forced to exit out.I figured it was a problem with the mods so I played it without them enabled. Same exact problem occurred. If anyone has a solution I would love to hear it. Oh, and this is on Windows 7, my computer easily meets the system requirements as well. I had a problem with fallout newvegas and steam cloud sync, cloud sync would crash new vegas. I had to disable it to run without crashes and it sucks because you lose achievements, but you could try that.

Paxan_1
Hi Guys, if you have a problem with running mods you should figure out which mod it is. Some mods cant be run with another without having trouble. Deactivating all is a good start, activate one by one and try playing, maybe you can find the one which is causing trouble. I'm running F3 with ~50 mods and it is really fine :) Sarah
Muspellheim
Deactivating all is a good start... It's is the problem in Fallout3 itself :) Already tried to disable all DLCs but it didn't help ------also i renamed Music folder in Data and disabled Live with this http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1086 Edited November 3, 2011 by Muspellheim
davycrockett
can i just point out that fallout 3 is extremely temperamental when it comes to messing with the FALLOUT PREFS and FALLOUT .ini files back up the originals if you do and don't save your game using a tweaked ini until you have got some degree of stability also AMDs cannot utilize hyper threading that's an INTEL thing as i understand it the adding of iNumHWThreads =2 line will just cause a crash on AMDS cpusat worst re installation of the game will be required the best site i found for this is " tweakguides .com fallout 3 tweakguide " with regards to using someone else's ini file be warned unless your two machines are identical it wont work as well as you hope if at all .
