DrakenGuard
In short, Its not merging the desired mods into one master esp. I merge small mods such as armor mods, basic Companions, items etc but this is not getting me anywhere. When I merge selected esps of any sort, it shows this error: http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/6915/unledht.jpg Im an experienced modder and Im no stranger to the workings of OBMM, OBSE and their simple functions but this is beyound me. Unless somebody who has a better idea or perhaps understands Java code or what ever or hell, even the guy/gal who dremt up the beauty of TES4GECKO, I need some major help. Tes4Gecko to me is FAR more simpler than Wrye Bash and I may say that does no longer work for me aswell as it fails to start up. Please help. I have a fresh install of Oblivion to start again but this is seriously dampening my mood and contribution to the modding communtity. ~DrakenGuard
HeyYou
I think the first line is where you are running into problems. (Access is denied) If you are running vista, or win7, find the exe file for gecko, right click on it, and select Run as Admin. Try your merge again. DrakenGuard
Bugger me, it worked. That has saved me a whole lot of pain. Thanks ever so much for such a simple tweak. I right-clicked on the Short cut and it worked. Let the Love of Oblivion re-ignite! Since this is a new install and fresh for new mods to try out, any ideas on what I should try out first? HeyYou
Uninstall the game, and then reinstall somewhere OUTSIDE of the program files folders. :D C:\Games\Oblivion would be great. Avoid the whole UAC issue altogether. (which is what bit you in the butt there.)
