bigman28
All hats have suddenly gone to the dreaded 90 degree angle on the side of the head. Anybody out there who can help me? I had this problem with a hat I made earlier, I did the G.E.C.Ks update FaceGen model thing. I'd been warned this might happen, But is this reversible without using a backup; because I'd have to redo a very, very large cell.
luthienanarion
Open your plugin in FNVEdit and delete all the entries for the hats you did not intend to change. NEVER use the Update Facegen in the GECK! When creating headgear in the GECK, just make your hat/helm and save the plugin, then open it in FNVEdit and look at the record for your item. Find the "Male Biped Model" field and the "MODD - Facegen Flags" field under it. Right-click the MODD Facegen Flags field and select "Add." (If this is the first edit to the plugin since you loaded it, FNVEdit will give you a flashy warning about making permanent changes.) Click the new field twice and change the value to "1" (for "head") and then save the plugin by closing FNVEdit and making sure it is checked in the save dialogue that pops up. This is necessary because the GECK does not add this flag to headgear when it saves, even though the engine seems to require it. The "Update Facegen" feature in the GECK seems to do absolutely nothing, then save a record of every headgear into your plugin -- without this flag.
