DarkShadowGod
I want to uninstall Deadly Reflex 5 to install version 6 so I used the Oblivion Mod Remover. I've been trying for quite some time and it just won't delete the files, and in the report after it has tried to remove the files they all have a message that reads: Kept due to file access denied. I I am on Vista. Can't I just install DR6 over DR5?
Keirgarth
Where is your game installed? If it is in program files, then you are running into issues with Windows Vista and 7 protections. You would have to move the oblivion folder outside of the program files folder. If you are on XP, then I have no clue why you are having these issues and you should investigate to be sure you have admin privileges and should also run the program as an admin. bben46
One of the UACs most aggravating concepts is that an administrator may - or may not - actually have administrative privileges over a particular file. Check the file in question to see if you have the administrator rights to delete it - even if you are logged in as an administrator you may not have that particular admin right over that particular file. :psyduck: This is why we say get the game out of the UAC protected 'program files' folders. HeyYou
Right click on the Mod remover app, select "run as admin". Try your removal again.
