I would love to see a Wolverine quest line that can actually tie into the Fallout series and I have a few ideas on how to accomplish that goal. The main ingredients for this possible scenario are two things, mad science and comic books. The basic idea is that 200 years after the bomb there is bound to be a lot of confusion possible. Books are misinterpreted all of the time in today's world, imagine what kind of confusion a post apocalyptic world could bring. A mad scientist who has been digging up scientific technology from the past has recently acquired the digital logs of an ancient professor of human anatomy. In the recovered data he not only finds the works and publishing of this professor but also a digital copy of Weapon X... http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae325/TheCaptainJackass/weaponx.jpg Of course this digital file is corrupted and no images are present, only the words, and only enough of them that the scientist is left to believe that this is a recording of a case study by the professor. In his excitement he immediately jumps to the wasteland to create a compound where he can further his studies and resurrect the "Weapon X Project". Of course in order to do this he will need a suitable candidate, someone with a natural ability to survive, someone who has been exposed to the worst the wasteland has to offer and come out standing, someone like...The Courier. Through the course of this quest line, you would be captured, experimented on, your genetics would be augmented (Healing Factor Perk), Adamantium would be grafted to your bones (Adamantium Skeleton Perk), your senses would be heightened (Heightened senses perk and +10 Perception), and eventually you will have to make your escape (Beserker Perk). The compound would be heavily fortified with guards, robots, other experiments, and of course you will have to battle your own tormented mind on the way. Edgecution Posted September 18, 2011 Share Posted September 18, 2011 I would actually like to see a mod where when you have no weapon equipped, you have Wolverine claws. But they retract when you don't have your weapon drawn, so you can't see them when they're at your sides. A wolverine leather jacket (the one with the amber rings on the arms with a white tee underneath and light bluejeans) would be awesome too. Probably nearly impossible, but would it be possible to change one of the implants at the New Vegas Medical Clinic to a new Adamantium Skeleton perk that provides the combined effects of the unarmed claws, the effect of the regular Adamantium Skeleton, and heath regeneration? For the claws, simply use the Wolverine Perk mod with the claws hot keyed and they will appear to disappear and reappear like you have hoped. The Wolverine Perk mod takes care of all of the healing factor and adimantium limb damage issues. I do truly hope that a modder takes interest in the mod.
