unbias
I've tried disabling all anti viruses, running in compatibility mode, running in administrator mode, full re installation and moving the steam folder out of program files, no mods, just vanilla and it wont load, running through the launcher/exe in the steamapps/obl folder. If the in game community is turned off it runs perfectly fine, however that effects certain mods(completely fresh install and deleted my oblivion my documents files). I am at a loss. When I go to load it it doesn't even make it to the Bethesda screen, it goes straight to an app crash. I have Win7 64 Bit home. Anyone have any idea? Edit: Oh and it is the GOTY steam version. Or is there a way to have OBSE work w/o steam community.
Fonger
did you make the classic mistake of installing steam to the default location if so this makes this problem a simple UAC issue that is easily fixed by finding the thread in the steam forum on moving your steam install in one easy step. unbias
*full re installation and moving the steam folder out of program files* ^Did that, moved it completely out of program files. Moved it to my user/custom folder. And by Move, I mean unintalled it and then reinstalled it there.
MShoap13
\My Documents\ is a Windows UAC protected folder if that is what you're referring to. Try something like C:\Games\.
